MEDICATION ASSISTED TREATMENT SERVICES

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) combines medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to effectively treat opioid use disorders (OUD) and support sustained recovery. To improve treatment outcomes, it is essential to expand treatment options and develop therapies that address OUD as a chronic condition with long-lasting effects. This involves increasing access to MAT, breaking the stigma associated with some of the medications used to treat OUD, and discovering new and more effective ways to advance medical therapy for OUD treatment.

We offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). We have found that MAT in combination with therapy reduces clients cravings, urges, withdrawal symptoms, and overdose prevention. Along with behavior therapy, MAT offers long term support during the recovery process.

Our doctors and treatment team will build a therapeutic relationship with you to create goals and a path towards recovery.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT

Medication management is a strategy for engaging with patients and caregivers to create a complete and accurate medication list using the brown bag method. A complete and accurate medication list is the foundation for addressing medication reconciliation and medication management issues. These tools will also help to identify patient behaviors that may be putting patients at risk for an adverse drug event, such as overdosing, underdosing, or missing medications, or other important contextual factors limiting adherence.

Certain mental health conditions are best treated with a combination of therapy and medication.  Beacon staff has the experience and will work with our clients  to find a medication that aligns with your treatment goals. The psychotropic medications we prescribe are either non-addictive or classified as having a low risk of dependence.

Clients on medication management will have regular appointments with our psychiatrists to ensure medication adherence and monitor effectiveness.
